Science Blogs: There are a number of specialized blogs that are pertinent to niche topics. These categories or labels group blog posts on a specific topic of Library & Information Science. Our science programs and this important local industry have developed a strong partnership that greatly benefits both of us. In 1962, Dr. Tom Vanosdall, a science professor at Ashland University, started corresponding with well-known public intellectuals, (including Lewis Mumford, C.S. Lewis, and C. P. Snow), about various intellectual topics. She was co-president of our American Medical Student Association chapter and President of our Tri-Beta biology honors group.
Outside of lab Lindsey has been attending seminars to hear about other scientists’ research, as well as sessions on making her own poster presentation, science policy and ethics, and the life of a graduate student (Lindsey would like to get her PhD after graduating from Ashland). However, science translations offer a unique challenge, as there are specific terms, measurements, and formulas that can be difficult to translate to certain languages. I like the app a lot and use the widget right on my home screen for quick information about interesting science news. Whether it is Chapel Hill, Baltimore, Boston, Berkeley or here in Ashland, many of our science majors take part in internships to conduct research during the summers. I wrote the book because I thought it important to show that science was consistent not only with a picture of God as the source of cosmic order and fruitfulness but also with a theistic understanding of divine providence at work in the history of the world, operating through interaction within the open grain of natural process.
